The Department of Economics was established in the year 1999. The first batch of the under graduate was passed out in 2002. At present there is one faculty with a Ph.D. The department is always engaged in research activities i.e. Seminars, Conferences and Research Publications in various reputed journals in Economics and Social Sciences. The department has the essential infrastructure facilities like Library, Department Staff Room, Teaching aids like Posters, Models etc.

The Department of English was established with the inception of the institute. It offers three years under graduate course. It also offers Remedial course, Soft Skills for Baseline Staff in Service Sector, Soft Skills Development Program for final year UG students, Certificate Course in English Proficiency and Certificate Course in Spoken English. The department has competent, experienced and cooperative staff. The department has contributed in the successful organization of state, national and international conferences. The faculty participates and presents research papers in International, National, state as well as University level workshops, conferences and seminars. The department uses PPT, audio-visual aids for making learning easy, interesting and efficient.

The Department of Geography was established in 1999. At present, it has two teaching faculty, committed to high standards of teaching. The Department offers Bachelor Degree in Geography. Both, theory and practical courses are conducted at special levels. As a part of the practical course, the department organizes study tours at different places of Geographical interest. The department has a well-equipped laboratory. In addition to classroom learning, tours, excursions, library, internet, computers, seminars, guest lectures, VLC facilities are the other means of teaching-learning in the department. The continuous evaluation process through group discussion, seminar, assessment of journals and tour reports are also helpful to know the subject knowledge of students.

The Department of Hindi was established in 1999 and Bachelor Degree course in Hindi as a special has started in 2002. Two well qualified full time faculty members are working for the department. The faculty members are fully engaged in research work and actively participated in 51 National and International seminars and conferences. The department has published 05 books and 45 research papers. Three research projects have been undertaken by the faculty from various funding agencies. The department has glorious history of university results and other activities.
